Another of my new curvey sided bubble scarves. I seem to be going through an unintentional fuchia/pink phase at the moment!

New work

This is my latest work in the bubble wrap range of scarves. They are all 100% wool and have a very handy loop at one end so you can wrap up securely to avoid those icy winds.

Number 3 is the winner

Number 3 is the winner!! I was very excited to win the category of "best use of different techniques in a scarf" in this year's scarf festival with my black coffee and milk coffee bubble scarf. I have already spent my winnings on one of the other beautiful scarves in the competition!! The exhibition of all the scarves runs until July 25th at the national wool museum in Geelong it is well worth the trip.

Scarf festival 2010 entry number 2

Scarf Festival 2010 entry number 2- In this piece, bubbles that normally form the surface design of the scarf are now reflected on the reverse of the scarf, revealing the equally intriguing surface of the felted wool. There is a pleasing contrast between the reverse knit stitch of the reflected bubbles and the stocking stitch of the primary bubbles.

Scarf Festival 2010

After some very slow progress, this is my first finished entry for this year's scarf festival at the Geelong wool museum. I have combined my current shibori technique with small handsewn mirrors for this year's theme "Reflections". This year's festival runs from 18 June to 25 July.

I have been exploring these techniques in many different colours.

In 2009 I won "Best Transformations of Different Techniques In A Scarf" in the scarf festival at the Geelong Wool Museum with this multi-coloured scarf.

In 2009 I started experimenting with forms based on 19th century collars.

In 2008 I made a series of hotwater bottle covers. These are available at Craft Victoria.
