Once the felting is complete, it is time to remove all the resists.
Next step - hand felting. This involves a bucket of very hot water, a bucket of very cold water, some liquid soap, strong rubber gloves and, you guessed it, lots and lots of hand rubbing!

I have been exploring these techniques in many different colours.
I am a textile artist based in Melbourne Australia. In another life, I ran a florist shop "Rare Petals". Both crafts take some inspiration from ancient Japanese techniques- my flower shop concentrated on ikebana, and my current craft practice explores shibori, in particular on knitted felt.
