My first attempt at knitting with 2 sets of double pointed needles. After an infuriating afternoon of not understanding the instructions and making it more complicated than necessary, I finally worked it out! Now I might be able to try one of Loani Proir's more exciting designs for keeping my teapot cosy
This pile of beautiful new additions to my wool stash is the result of my weekend excursion to the Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show; inspiring enough for me to try a new hand knit project.
This is my latest work in the bubble wrap range of scarves. They are all 100% wool and have a very handy loop at one end so you can wrap up securely to avoid those icy winds.

In 2009 I won "Best Transformations of Different Techniques In A Scarf" in the scarf festival at the Geelong Wool Museum with this multi-coloured scarf.
In 2009 I started experimenting with forms based on 19th century collars.
In 2008 I made a series of hotwater bottle covers. These are available at Craft Victoria.
I am a textile artist based in Melbourne Australia. In another life, I ran a florist shop "Rare Petals". Both crafts take some inspiration from ancient Japanese techniques- my flower shop concentrated on ikebana, and my current craft practice explores shibori, in particular on knitted felt.
